Owl-dorable Cupcakes

A few weeks ago our friends Kyle & Elizabeth had their daughter Mallory’s first birthday.  It was owl themed and Elizabeth made all kinds of cute decorations.  But my favorite things she made were these owl-dorable cupcakes.  You see what I did there?

 

These cuties are super easy to make.  Bake off your favorite cupcakes and top with whatever frosting you like.  If you use a frosting white in color, add a few drops of food coloring for a color pop.

To decorate: Grab an Oreo for each cupcake.  Pull apart the Oreo (twisting helps) and place the two halves on top of one cupcake, cream side up.  Add two M&M’s of the same color for eyes.  Add one orange M&M for a beak and you’re done!
