Namaste Saturday: Raw Apple Pie with Cashew Cream

Aunt Cindy's Back with a really yummy sounding apple pie!



Raw Apple Pie with Cashew Cream

Crust:
2 Cups Brazil Nuts
2 Cups Almonds
1/3 tsp sea Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 ½ cups pitted dates
Process until fairly fine and then press into pie plate

Filling:
3-4  Apples
1 tsp Nutmeg
2 tsp Cinnamon
¾ cup raisins (soaked in water for 2 hours)
2-3 T.  Fresh squeezed lemon juice
Process together til apples are chunky or use a saladucco

Apple Glaze:
½ cup Agave Nectar
½ Apples
½ tsp cinnamon
Process in blender until smooth

Cashew Cream:
1 ½ cups Cashew (soaked for 3 hours)
1 cup water
½ cups pitted dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
Process in blender until smooth-add more water if needed.
    Pour on top of each piece of pie.

    1. Thanks so much for the add. My aunt is full of good ideas. Some of the raw recipe boggle my mind a little, but she swears they're good and that's good enough for me.
