Thing 2 is ONE!

I can't believe my littlest Thing is ONE!  Crazy sauce.

This past Sunday we had his birthday party.  I went a little themed for the cake and cookies, but that was about it.  I'm not one of those over-the top moms who can spend a month prepping and planning for a party...not since I went back to work anyway.  I'm not going to totally bombard you with party pictures.  Don't worry.  But, I'm sharing all the party food I made and some fun we had.  You'll live.

-Party-

Gigi & Aunt Sue

Opening presents with Dad

Thing 1 helping get the toys out

See the dolphin balloon?
Thing 1 was done with it, but I had to hold the balloon to make sure no one else played with it.

Brother helping blow out the candle

Not so sure about the texture at first...

and then the cake was obliterated!

We all had such a great day.  And I completely ignored the messy kitchen for a good 5 hours after the party.  It was lovely.

- Food -

I totally forgot to take a picture. I was having too much fun.
{This picture is from the original post that the link sends you to}

Crock Pot Lil' Smokies
{I used 2 cups of jelly instead of 1}
I got the picture, but the crowd beat me to the punch.
I guess this attests to the yumminess in this crock pot.

We always give the boys chocolate cake for their 1st birthday.
This cake was the reason i made fish cookies.

    1. That dip is SO SO good. The cookies kept me up til midnight the night before the party, but they were worth it. All the kids loved them. Thanks for the ego boost. :)
