Sugar-Coated Sundays: Lemon Sorbet and Prosecco

So check it.  I originally planned to make candied lemon peels to garnish today's recipe.  Then I realized it was Mother's Day I could be as lazy as I wanted to.  Out went to candied lemon peel and in came an extra glass of Prosecco for me.  But I did find a great recipe of the lemon peels- check it out here.

Oh, and I have to work today.I'm pretty sure there's a law against working on Mother's Day somewhere, just not in AZ.  C'est la vie.

Lemon Sorbet and Prosecco

Ingredients:
Your favorite brand lemon sorbet  {I like Trader Joe's}
Martini & Rossi  Prosecco

Directions:   {This is really hard,  pay attention}

  1. Fill a dessert bowl with scooped lemon sorbet.
  2. Top sorbet with 1/4 to 1/2 cup Prosecco - to your personal taste.  {I happen to like the lemon flavored "juice" left behind a lot.}
  3. Eat and be happy.

The perfect Mother's Day dessert. Quick, easy, minimal effort, booze, and your loving family can do the dishes.  ;)
