I'm 29 today.  I can't believe I'll be 30 next year.  I'm not one of those women who obsessive of the horrors of having a 3 start my age.  It's not really that big a deal to me.  However, it is sad to think this is the last year of my twenties.


The past decade has held all the pivotal changes of my life and my biggest learning experiences.  I've grown as a person and I've grown up, so to speak.  I don't think I'll ever really grow up, but that's why I'm fun.  At least my friend Rusty is 2 months older than me so I can harass him about being old and always fall back on my favorite "yeah, well you're older than me so ha!" argument.  


Mike's 3 and a half years older than me so already went through all the thirty ish.  As long as Mike doesn't do to me what he did to his sister's for their 30 birthday (yes, birthday...they're twins) I'll live.  He took it upon himself to count down for them.  1 year, 9 months, 6 months, once a month after the half way mark, 3 months, once a week for the last quarter of the year, 4 weeks, every other day until the last week before, 1 week, once a day until the day before, once an hour until midnight.  It was priceless.

I've had a great birthday week.  Mike and I went out to dinner and then the Reverend Horton Heat concert on Thursday.  {I'll be sharing our date later in the week}

Friday we had a lazy day and I baked.  Today, I slept in - it was magical.  

We might go see Ted.  I can't wait!
