I love this bracelet idea because everyone inevitably seems to have an almost finished roll of painters tape and Washi Tape is the trendiest kid on the block. You can make these bangles in any color and style you can dream up...and that they make Washi tape for. These bracelets seriously take 5 minutes at most - it depends on how OCD you are. :)
Washi Tape Bangles
Materials:
Finished roll of painter's tape
Your favorite Washi tape
Method:
See, this it it. Really.
Start your tape wrapping on the inside of the tape spool at a diagonal angle.
I placed my tape in line with the seam on the inside for evenness.
Wrap the tape around the spool.
There will be spaces between the tape.
Once wrap around.
Repeat.
2nd wrap around.
The tape starts to overlap, which is okay. It helps hide the brown base color.
Keep wrapping until the tape spool is covered.
The last time you wrap the tape around, stretch the tape to fill in any remaining gaps.
You want any folded, crinkled parts of the tape on the inside, keep the outside flat.
Tah-dah!
5 minutes.
Cute bracelet.
Make an armful in bright mismatched or coordinating colors!
