On Your Marks. Get Set. Tailgate!

I love tailgating.  Yes, the place to do it is at the stadium, but with little kids around that can be hard.  So we usually "tailgate" at my friend Treena's house.  Beer, football, friends, food, and fire (the boys love to grill).  What more could you want?

Oh course I couldn't resist getting in on the fun when I saw Mom 4 Real was co-hosting a big tailgating party.  A big link up of awesome tailgating ideas, prizes, and cool new blogs to check out?  Sold.  If you want to join in, the link up is tomorrow.  Go write about your favorite recipes, tailgating memory, traditions, anything that makes your football tailgating season the best!!

One of my favorite tailgating days was the morning of the Cardinals v. Browns game.  Mike's whole family is from Cleveland and I was never die hard for any particular football team, so off to root for the Brownies we went.

He's so hot!

Treena, Me and Jerry.

Gotta play football.

It's good to make new friends.

The boys fried 2 chickens on site.
They were SO good.

Brian, Mike, Me, ad Dave.

We were a little drunk by this point.

Totally awesome day.  We had lower level seats just off the end zone.  The Browns totally got robbed of a touchdown, but we had a great time.  While it's fun to support my man, I'm a big BIG Ohio State fan.  I lived in Ohio while marching drum corps and got in indoctrination into the fold.

This shirt is on my must have list for the upcoming season.

We love playing Corn hole and horseshoes for pre-game and at half time.

These gummie bears do some serious damage and are one of my favorite get together/party treats.  No one knows your drinking and you catch a great sugary buzz.

We always have lots of beer.  PBR, Guinness, and what ever has made its way through the front door.  But when you want something cool and refreshing, I highly recommend a nice cold Collins.

I've been obsessing over these nachos for a couple weeks now.

Guys like spicy.  I like chicken and shrimp.  Everybody wins!

Chicken and Shrimp Nachos

You can't go wrong with hybrid bar-type food.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into one of these dogs.

Pretzel Dogs

Easy, creamy, spicy, delicious, cram one whole popper in your mouth size.

The perfect beer pairing!

Jalapeno Cream Cheese Poppers

These meatballs are so easy to make.  They've got a good kick and you can leave them in the crock pot all day.  Winning!

This dip is a million times better than the store bought stiff you can find.

Make a gallon's worth, it will all be gone.

French Onion Dip

This is the most demanded dip I make.

I get dirty looks and sad faces if I show up to Treena's without it.
So I always make this and something else.

Hot Wing Dip

No man can be sad when you hand him chocolate and whiskey in one bite.

Yes, it's a cupcake. Yes, he might have a "but I'm a guy" moment.
It'll pass.  He'll love you for this.
And all the women will just be happy it's chocolate.

Jack Daniel's Cupcakes

Who doesn't love cookies?

And football shapes make them all the more fun for everyone.

I want to say a big thank you to Mom 4 Real, Craftionary, and Debbie Does Creations for hosting.
I can't wait to check out all the link ups and get some more great tailing gating ideas and recipes.
