Spiked Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

Can you believe Halloween is in two short days?  I'm so excited.  Eddie is big enough to walk around and carry his own pumpkin and Otto is hyping on his costume.  We're actually all dressing up together for a group costume.  I see a trend beginning.

What's our costume going to be?
Leave your guess in the comments.

The first correct guess gets 200x200 ad space for a month.
Why not!  :)

{Here's a hint}

One Year Ago: Monster House Party

Spiked Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
Adapted from Chilled Magazine

Ingredients:
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cream or half and half
1 tablespoon vanilla
2/3 cup pureed pumpkin
1/2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
3 to 4 ounces Jack Daniel's whiskey
Graham cracker, crumbs
Marshmallow cream or frosting

Directions:
  1. Using marshmallow cream, coat the rim of a glass.  Dip rim of glass in graham cracker crumbs.
  2. Combine ice cream, milk, cream, vanilla, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and whiskey in a blender.  Pulse until smooth and thick.  Add more ice cream or ice as needed to thicken.
  3. Carefully pour milkshake into glass.  Top with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

I made my shake the way the original recipe said to.  The graham crackers fell to the bottom of the shake and tasted funny.  Let's no do that.  The recipe above has my tweaks.  It came out much better in my opinion.

Otherwise this shake is a mouthful of fall goodness with the added benefit of being boozy.  Double win!
