Better Than...Cookie Dough Cheeseball

Yesterday was amazing!
The Buckeyes beat that state up north and all is right in the world.
GO BUCKEYES!!!

Per the usual, we were at our friend Treena's house.  You may remember Treena from her Tater Tot Casserole.  Well, she has another gem.  This is the most addicting, delicious, "Treena did you make the cheeseball? Please tell me you did." party food ever!  I say it's better than crack, but that seemed a little dark for Pinterest.  Today I give you what may be the best thing you'll ever put in your mouth - Better Than...Cookie Dough Cheeseball!

Better Than... Cookie Dough Cheeseball

Ingredients:

8 ounces cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
2 cups pecans, choppped
Nilla Wafrs

Directions:

  1. Bring cream cheese, butter, and cookie dough to room temperature.  DO NOT microwave to heat. Everything will get melty and you won't be able to make a ball - not that I would know...
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, butter and cookie dough until combined.
  3. Roll cookie dough ball in chopped pecans until coated on all sides.  Store in refrigerator until ready to eat.  Serve with regular or mini Nilla wafers.

Did you notice the watermark in the corner?  I'm so excited to have an easy way to label my pictures now.  I have it made by Lisa at Hummingbird's View for only $5!  She actually sent me 3 variations to make sure I had one I loved.  Tell her Julie sent you!

  2. I wonder what I could use instead of cream cheese? I like the idea of a cookie dough ball as a dip but not the cream cheese part.

    Any ideas?
