Tuesday10: Favorite Holiday Movies

It's no secret I adore Lena.  She is just the bee's knees and an all around wonderful person with amazing style.  Sometimes I can't help but jump in on her Tuesday10 posts.  Especially one about my favorite holiday movies, sold!

In no particular order - my holiday movie loves.

Scrooged
"Would ya please... for the love of God and your own body, hold the hammering!"

Elf
I'm not a fan of blonde Zoe, but the shower signing scene - cute.
And I may have answered my phone "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?" for a week.

A Christmas Story
You're wrong if you don't like it.
And we have a punked out version of the leg lamp somewhere in my house.

Edward Scrissorhands
If I've never mentioned it, I'm kind of obsessed with Johnny Depp.
Like A LOT!
The score to this movie is insane too.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Double holiday winning.  An excuse to watch it to seasons a year!

White Christmas
I've loved this movie since by bestie in HS got me hooked.
I wish they had song and dance numbers like this in movies to day.

Bad Santa
Horribly good.  Mike loves this one too.

Santa Claus "The Movie"
This one's a tradition with my mom.
I grew up watching this every year.

Home for the Holidays
Robert Downey Jr., my other MAJOR crush.  He makes me think of my friend Dale too.
This movie is messed up and great and drama.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The right version, with Boris Karloff.

Get your Christmas movie feast on!

  1. I totally agree with How The Grinch Stole Christmas - the Jim Carey version was not my favourite!! Give me that old cartoon anyday. Great list! :)

  3. I have not heard of home for the holidays, but if it has Robert Downey Jr. then sign me up ;) And I couldn't agree more about movies needing more singing and dancing like White Christmas! Happy Tuesday!

  6. I wish they had song and dance numbers like in White Christmas in modern movies, too. Just not the same. Though I am excited about the new Les Miserable musical coming out this Christmas - don't think it'll include dancing, but that music is so gorgeous it doesn't need it.
