Envelope Pillowcase and Lots of Buttons

I hope at this point in our blogging relationship you know I'm a much better cook than crafter.  However, I do like to try my had a project now and again.  So that's what you're getting today.  A project and how you can find the biggest variety of buttons I've ever seen on one site.

I'm not gonna lie.  Our couches are used and abused.  Mike bought them 12 years ago.  They spent 8 years is a house full of bachelors and 4 years in a house with kids.  They're on their last leg.  I mentioned doing slipcovers until we save up the cash to get a new sectiona.  Mike wasn't buying it.  So I decided to sneak in a pillowcase to dress up things a bit, and mybe lead him in the right direction.

Then I went all Valentine's day and made a super girly pillowcase.  It's cheesy and my sister is going to love it!

It's just a basic envelope style pillowcase.  I used the tutorital from Tatertots & Jello to put this little gal together.  I added the ribbon for a little flair, but it wasn't quite enough.  That's where Lots of Buttons saved the day.

There are SO many different types of buttons.  I didn't even know where to begin.  I picked out a few different plastic buttons.  I didn't know what I would do with the buttons I picked out.  I've got a few ideas now, I just need to get the ball rolling.  This pillowacse was the perfect start.

How amazing are these bottons?!?

I kind of geeked out over them.  I have a few more of this type that I'm dying to gussy up a sweater with.  I popped three of these bad boys on the pillow and voila!

I totally recommend Lots of Buttons if you're looking for some amazing options to enhance your projects.  They have synthetic, natural, metal, horn, wood, and shell varieties.  Better yet, orderes $15 or more get free shipping.  Yay free!!
