No Fail Sugar Cookies

This is my go to sugar cookie recipe for all my fancy cookies.

No Fail Sugar Cookies
From Cake Central

Ingredients:
6 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups white, granulated sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract or desired flavoring (almond perhaps?)
1 teaspoons salt

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla.  Mix well.  mix dry ingredients and add a little at a time to butter mixture.  Mix until flour is incorporated and the dough comes together.
  2. Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Roll to desired thickness {these help A LOT} and cut into desired shapes.  Bake on ungreased {or Sil-Pat lined} baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until just beginning to turn brown around the edges.

This recipe can make up to 5 dozen 3" cookies.

  1. I have the same recipe and it is the only one I will use. I tried so many and was about to give up until I saw this recipe on Cake Central. I actually just made some cookies yesterday and froze them. I will decorate them in a couple days.
    Love your blog!!!
