I used to wait tables and I bartended for a couple years too. This is how Mike and I met. We worked at the same restaurant and he was the head bartender. He taught me everything I needed to know to make amazing drinks. By the way, Mike makes the best Mudslide you're ever had in your entire life. I'd put money on it.
I was so frustrate when I couldn't get our bartender at B.Dubs to give me the recipe for "Wet." I had promised to only us the shot for good and to never give anyone else the recipe. {This was 10 years ago so I have no guilt giving out now.} He finally ponied up and I became infamous with my friends.
I hadn't thought about this shot in years and then I ran across the recipe in a box of papers I had put away. I was out drinking one night and ordered a round from our waitress.
Side note - It's waitress or waiter. I don't care what people say now to try and be P.C. These people are not your servant (see: server). They wait on you. They wait for you to make up your mind, they wait for you to pay them, they wait for you to be nice. :) Be nice.
Everyone at the table freaked. I refused to give any of them the recipe. My friends knew that if they wanted this shot they had to be out drinking with me. Yes, I'm tooting my own horn a little. What?
Mike brought home this really cool shot glass mold from the Tuaca gift packs last week. It's a silicone mold with 4 spaces. Add some water and freeze. Tah dah! Ice shot glasses. I'd been thinking of what I would make to put in these cute little guys and it hit me! So here we are. About to get Wet!!
Wet
Ingredients:
3/4 oz Raspberry Finlandia Vodka {We're a Brown-Forman/Bacardi household}
3/4 oz Chambord
1 1/4 oz Sweet and Sour mix (store bought or make your own)
Splash of Sprite
Splash of water
Sugar
Lemon wedge
Directions:
Cut a slit in the middle of the lemon wedge. Place the lemon on the glass rim and run it around to coat the glass. Remove lemon and dip glass in sugar. Replace lemon wedge on rim. Shake together vodka, Chambord, and sweet and sour. Splash with Sprite and water; strain into shot glass.
To drink: squeeze lemon into shot, lick sugar and throw it back. Yum!
You can make this shot as a cocktail too!
Fill a glass with ice. Up your liquor to 1 1/2 oz vodka and 2 oz Chambord. Squeeze the lemon wedge into the glass. Fill glass with Sweet and Sour mix, and add a splash of water. Shake, shake, shake. Then add a splash of Sprite. No sugar rim.
**Alcohol is only for those 21 and older. Please drink responsibly.**
Yum!!!
